I’m Shawn, the owner of a boutique accounting and tax firm dedicated to providing bookkeeping for trades professionals, as well as helping contractors and small businesses thrive. With over 25 years of experience in accounting, an MBA in Management, and credentials as an Enrolled Agent, I blend technical expertise with a practical understanding of the challenges faced in small business accounting. Growing up in an entrepreneurial family—my grandfather and father ran a successful HVAC business before my father transitioned into the outdoor sporting goods retail sector—I gained firsthand knowledge of the hurdles small business owners encounter from start-up to retirement. This experience allows me to anticipate challenges, identify opportunities, and offer tailored tax services for contractors that are directly relevant to each client’s situation. Outside of work, I enjoy being outdoors, fishing, working on cars, carpentry, playing rock guitar, and spending time with my wife and mostly grown children. I'm also a bit of a technology geek. My personal and professional experiences equip me to provide each client with the attention, insight, and strategies they need to succeed, allowing them to focus on what they do best—running and growing their business.
